Don't shoot me all at once but is there any benefit in redirecting a domain with decent metrics to a Google my business page? Will it help the GMB to rank higher or not?

Some SEO's believe building links to your GMB profile helps rankings and others don't. I am one that from my own testing it appears to be beneficial so in that theory yes it would increase your rankings just as it would if you redirected to another domain some authority and links would also be passed on.
