July Core update 2021: Layout / Design / UX update, focus on design issues.
June Core update 2021: User experience related update, focus on improving the engagement on the site.
Dec Core update 2020: User experience related update (part 1), focus on improvement the engagement on the site.
May Core update 2020: Site authority focus, heavier focus on domain & topic authority. Larger sites (with more authoritative links) rewarded.
September Core update 2019: Focus on link manipulation and link authority. Address unnatural anchor texts and lower quality links.
June Core update 2019: Heavy emphasis on structured data (get your schema up-and-running) and site authority. Less direct backlinks and higher quality domains are ranking.
March Core update 2019: Site quality update, sites with thin content, duplicate and broken content suffer. Remove thin pages (such as tag pages with 1 tag, pages with little-to-no original content) and aim to have content-rich pages on the site.
