Shopify with blog or WordPress Blog & Use Shopify Sub-domain?

I’m working on the website of a B2B building material company.
The main keywords we’re targeting are dominated by eCommerce websites ( or B2B e-commerce, where they’re mostly selling samples).
I want to build it on Shopify, but I’m sure that informative content is the way we can differentiate ourselves ( there is a big opportunity here).
The options are:
- Build the website on Shopify and the blog on Shopify.
- Build the website on WordPress and the store of samples on shop.domain .com
What should I do? Thank you

In either scenario I would stick with the same domain so Shopify & Shopify blog, or WordPress and use WooCommerce and stick to the same domain.
