What would be the SEO reasons for me to create content for relative keywords, that I don't gain money off?

I always asked that question myself, but couldn't an answer:
Metaphorically speaking, as a small business,
What would be the SEO reasons for me to create content for relative keywords, that I don't gain money off?
Does that improve my ranking for money keywords? If yes, how so?

Creating topical relevancy helps establish what your website is about.

1. internal linking is a proven method to pushing your money pages up in the SERP and for more relative search terms. Meaning you want every part of the ship to float. This is possible if you have pages/blog posts to utilize for internal linking.

2. I worked on a local client’s site and all we did was build their blog on top of everything else. Surprisingly, 60% of the calls and quote requests come from the blog pages.

3. You want to establish authority in your niche especially a local site. So create topical relevant & related pages is key. This is why we go with establishing a brand first vs selling the service for local clients.
But take this with a grain of salt. In some industries, you don't need blog pages but instead more GMB/citations and backlinks.
