Google appears to be updating and a lot of chatter around this topic across the web.
What we have seen:
- Some areas GMB (maps) only shows (1) page
- They just implemented new link attributes
rel="sponsored": The new sponsored attribute can be used to identify links on your site that were created as part of advertisements, sponsorships or other compensation agreements.rel="ugc": Theugcthe attribute value is recommended for links within user-generated content, such as comments and forum posts.rel="nofollow": Thenofollowthe attribute is for cases where you want to link to a page but doesn’t want to imply any type of endorsement, including passing along ranking credit to another page, Google said.

It's hard to tell at this point. I personally believe No Follow links have a bigger impact on rankings and SEO than most agencies give credit.
