What we have learned about DuckDuckGo and ranking!

So far what we know is it's very similar to the early years of Google.  Building links, good content, and active and updated blogs all help.  It appears they do still hold great value in exact match domain names.  They currently use Apple maps as their map source. Because we know DuckDuckGo algorithm searches hundreds of other search engines it's important to optimize for Bing and other search engines.  Since they use Apple maps make sure you create and claim your listing on Apple.  As time goes on we would be happy to share more!
