So I am just going to jump right in here and ask the forbidden question in the other groups and forums I am part of which is what is the best secret strategy to rank a local business's GMB?  Other places give me vague responses or nobody will answer this question because it took them years to learn and even the answer some secrets are the best kept secret.  Looking forward to your answer!

I am happy to share and first of all, I don't think there is one thing or secret that will ultimately rank your local business GMB.  If there were I would probably say keyword stuffing the business name, however, recently Google's update doesn't seem they put as much weight on that as they used to.  So my advice would be to supercharge your properties which what I mean by this is let's say you have a chamber of commerce listing right?  Now build links to that listing, but don't stop there!  Build links to the links that you built to the chamber of commerce.

By doing this especially if you have written a decent description and given great information on that listing it will allow that property to potentially rank for specific terms which will gain authority and if it's linking back to your website & hopefully your GMB it will boost the authority of those as well!

Now go through each property and focus on your primary keywords but go into specifics.  For instance, if you are a locksmith stick locksmith or locksmith & the city name etc.. but go into a specific on each one such as Key Programming how it works, what makes, models, and years you work on.  Down to specific keys such as transponders, smart keys, and bare metal keys.  Do this for each property you are listed in and supercharge them with the tiered link system.

Before you know it, Google will see these, and previously they might have not because they probably weren't indexed or have any type of ranking behind them.  But think about it!  If your chamber of commerce ranked for automotive locksmith (city) or any other search term.  People will visit it and then funnel to your site or GMB.  But behind the scenes, your website's PR will increase which Google has hidden from the public eye.  Don't forget to do the same supercharge method to your GMB and if you want to get even more power do it to your posts on the GMB and remember to focus on one specific thing on your post such as automotive, keys, locks, smart locks, or whatever that post might be about.  When your post is picked up and ranks on Google searches it will gain more views and traffic thus boosting even more authority.

This supercharge effect does literally what it's called it supercharges your local businesses GMB!  Thank you for posting and I am sorry you are part of the wrong groups and SEO forums because anyone holding back information then what is the point?  Second, you have 15 points when you reach 50 you can redeem a citation package that also will help your local business rank its 300+ citations that index, have a map embed, and each description is slightly changed so it's unique to Google.  On top of that, it helps the supercharge theory because you can list your social media!  This is per month but if you participate in the SEO forum can easily be obtained every month!  Tell your friends and keep on posting my friend!
